Secondly, we started this substack as a way to expand our audience and more importantly make new friends and connections in the gardening world. We’re two professional horticulturalists that spent many years working in the parks system in the Vancouver, Canada area. Inspired by all of the latest in plant science and ecology, we decide to strike out on our own a few years ago and start our own venture, hence Virens Studio. Today, we’re interesting in providing better solutions for cities that want a brighter horticultural future through ecological practice, planting design and urban greening. So, we’re hoping that you’ll jump in and take this ride along with us.
