Great to see this positive take on coppicing as a component of landscape design, offering so many benefits for biodiversity and health. Many tree and shrub species can be cut back to the ground, producing fresh stems and prolonging their life. I wish there was a ‘coppiceability’ index to tell us which ones do better than others!
